Skyline Arch - 0.4 Miles Round-Trip
Skyline Arch is easily reached on a flat sand and gravel trail. There's not much to the hike, but the arch itself is quite impressive and the vicinity is notably colorful and vibrant.
The distinctive arch can be seen from many places within the Park, and is an essential part of any Arches National Park photo collection.
A large boulder dropped from the arch's arc in 1940, essentially doubling the size of its opening. The arch is positioned in such a way that it's well lit most of the day.
The trail ends at the base of the arch, but many social trails lead from the main trail to nowhere in particular. Please be respectful of fragile desert life and cryptobiotic soil and stay on the well-defined trail.
