Double Arch is easily reached on a well-defined trail beginning at the northwest side of the Windows Primitive Loop Trailhead parking lot. The larger arch is 144' wide and 112' high; the smaller is 67' wide and 86' high. Together they form the third largest arch opening in the Park.

The trail moves easily along a sand and gravel path to the base of the arch. Sagebrush, pinyon and juniper line the trailside, while a shapely series of buttes known as the Parade of Elephants rise dramatically on the northern horizon.

The arches are best lit in the morning, with numerous good vantages along the trail for photo opportunities.
