Outwash Plain

An extensive, relatively flat area of outwash deposits. This can take the form of a flood plain form which deposits are laid or from a free flowing river which also leaves wide outwash plains.

The Hoh River in Olympic National Parkl leaves a wide outwash plain in its path.
