Beaver Creek Trailhead: Coney Lake, Indian Peaks Wilderness Area, Colorado
Beaver Creek Trailhead: Coney Lake
Indian Peaks Wilderness Area
Coney Lake rests high among the Indian Peaks Wilderness at 10,624'. The lake is among the least known in this area due to its lack of accessibility by 2WD vehicle. The 4WD roads which lead to the official trailhead are very rough and require both 4WD and high clearance. Those without 4WD can access Coney Lake as a long day hike. The reward is a striking alpine lake with excellent fishing and outlet streams.
