ProTrails is dedicated to building a database of GPS-verified information for multi-use trails within designated wilderness areas across the country. Founded by Dave Schwartz and Dave Levy, two professional explorers from Boulder, Colorado, ProTrails provides visitors with detailed first-hand trail descriptions all measured with GPS (trail descriptions GPS coordinates where applicable). Original trail photography complements each trail description, as do directions to the trailhead and any other trail or area information worth noting. In addition to trail-specific data, ProTrails also offers general area information such as Geology, History or Wildlife. Visitors can also find information on Local Lodging, Local Outfitters and Area Attractions.
